His Eminence Gyepa Rinpoche visits Deden Tashi Choeling

His Eminence Gyepa Rinpoche is a great master of the Dudjom Tersar lineage. He comes from an unbroken lineage of extraordinary masters in the practice of Dakini Troma Nagmo, tracing back to Trakthung Dudjom Lingpa. Rinpoche is the principal lineage holder of the Upper Troma tradition of Troma Nagmo, and he has established many important centers in India, Nepal, Singapore, and Taiwan for preservation of the lineage.

In January 2025, Rinpoche visited Deden Tashi Choeling, where he bestowed transmission and teachings on the Upper Tradition of Dudjom Troma and led Troma Tsok practices according to that Tradition.

Deden Tashi Choeling temple: Deden Tashi Choeling Temple is the second seat of Ngakpa Dratsang which was located in Upper Pemakod, Tibet. In earlier times, the yogis of Ngakpa Dratsang were mainly disciples of Dudjom Lingpa, who also took care of the young Dudjom incarnation, Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje. Therefore, the Troma practices at Ngakpa Dratsang during that period were conducted according to the Upper Tradition of Dudjom Lingpa.

Significane of His Eminence’s visit to Deden Tashi Choeling Temple: With this visit, His Eminence Gyepa Rinpoche has once again brought the blessings of the Upper Tradition to the second seat of Ngakpa Dratsang, Deden Tashi Choeling Temple, now in India. The event of His Eminence’s visit was an auspicious coincidence and restored the main practice of this temple’s first seat in its original form.
